The Beginners guide to Attributes and Leveling your Character

There are four basic attributes in the Elder Scrolls - Secret Stories. All these attributes must be taken into consideration in every action that requires any form of skill, such as archery, bartering and so on. It is these levels, along with writing style and story value that determines who wins in a battle as well.

Hit points
Determines your total health and how much damage you can take before dying.

Ranged attack
Determines how many HP (hit points) a ranged attack does in damage in case of a successful hit.

Melee attack
Determines how many HP (hit points) a melee attack does in damage in case of a successful hit.

Magic attack
Determines how many HP (hit points) a magic attack does in damage in case of a successful hit.

Leveling your Character

Leveling your character is very important since it is the level of your attributes that determines what you can and can not do as well as the outcome of battles. There are three ways of leveling your character. The first one is called Common Leveling, and this is done by being active within the game. All active players (posting unique posts at least once a week) are allowed to perform Common Leveling once a month. The player receives +10 points to distribute per month.

Then there is what is called Award Leveling. Every month we hand out prizes to the Players of the Week. The prizes very from items to gold and ability points.

The last way one can level is called Mission Leveling. This is done when a player receives and completes a mission from a admin or faction leader. The prizes very from items to gold and ability points.

As you level up you are expected to make changes to your Character Sheet yourself. It is this sheet that has authority in battles and so on. Saying that you have forgotten to level up and update your Character Sheet is not a valid excuse for getting your ass kicked.
